About Us...


The Clawson Historical Society provides additional support to the Clawson Historical Museum. Society volunteers also assist in the maintenance of the museum.


The Clawson Historical Museum opened in 1973, and is owned by the City of Clawson. The Museum preserves artifacts and documents from the earliest Clawson settlers, with a special focus on the 1920s, and features 11 rooms with artifacts displaying the typical life of a family in the 1920s.


The museum is open Wednesday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m., except holidays. Admission is free.


Group Tours are by appointment only. Programs and Presentations are also available off-site by appointment.
